Vulnerable Adult Protection Actions

vulnerable-adultA vulnerable adult protection action (“VAPA”) seeks protection of a vulnerable adult from physical or mental abuse, neglect, financial exploitation, or abandonment. Washington statutes define a vulnerable adult as someone who is sixty years or older, has a guardian, has a developmental disability, is a resident of certain types of facilities, or receives various types of services.

Robin H. Balsam P.S. assists vulnerable adults with defense of a petition and those who are interested persons with preparation and filing of VAPA petitions, collection and presentation of evidence in support or defense, court hearings, and petitioning for court enforcement of protection orders.
